A launch is a sequence, not a day. Lock the fundamentals first, then the materials, then the channels, and give yourself a full week of checking before the first public announcement.
A launch day is exciting, which is exactly why it is dangerous. Attention goes to the party and the post, while the details that customers will actually meet, from a phone number to a price list, are left to the last hour. Over years of launching and relaunching brands, we have collected the things that go wrong into one list. Print it, tick it, and your launch will be calmer than most.
Four weeks out: the fundamentals.
Everything downstream depends on these being final. If a name, a logo file or a phone number changes after this point, every item below has to be checked again.
- Name registered, trademark filed, domain and social handles secured
- Final logo files in every format, with Arabic and English versions
- Brand colours, fonts and a one-page guideline shared with every supplier
- One phone number, one WhatsApp number and one email that will not change
- Address and map pin confirmed, with directions a driver can follow
- Price list or menu final in both languages, checked by a native Arabic reader
- A one-sentence description of what you do, in Arabic and English
Three weeks out: the materials.
Printed items take longest and are hardest to fix. Order them first and proof them on paper, not on a screen.
- Signage artwork proofed at full size, including Arabic letter spacing
- Packaging, bags, labels and receipts with the correct contact details
- Menus, price lists and brochures proofread in both languages
- Uniforms or name badges, if staff meet customers
- Photography of products, space and team, shot with launch use in mind
- A short brand video or set of vertical clips for social media
Proof printed items by reading them aloud. Eyes skip errors; voices do not.
Two weeks out: the digital front door.
When the first ad runs or the first post goes out, people will search for you within minutes. Everything they find should be ready, consistent and fast.
- Website or landing page live, bilingual, tested on real phones
- Google Business Profile claimed, with photos, hours, category and contact details
- Instagram, TikTok and other profiles set up with the same name, logo and bio
- WhatsApp Business profile complete, with a greeting message and catalogue
- Conversion tracking and analytics installed and tested with a real enquiry
- Email signature and templates updated for every staff member
One week out: the people and the plan.
A launch is delivered by staff, not by designers. The people who answer the phone and serve customers need to know the story before the public does.
- Team briefed: what is new, why, and how to explain it in two sentences
- Launch offers and their rules written down and shared
- Content calendar for the launch week, with posts drafted and approved
- Ad campaigns built, in draft, with budgets and dates agreed
- Press or partner list ready, with a short announcement in both languages
- A simple way to collect reviews from the first customers
Launch day and after: watch, respond, repeat.
On the day, the job is to notice and respond. Keep one person watching messages, comments, reviews and the website. Then, in the week after, fix what you learned and tell the story again, because most of your audience missed the first announcement.
- Someone monitoring every channel and replying within the hour
- A daily check of website, forms, phone line and WhatsApp
- Photos and clips from the day captured for the following week’s content
- A review on day seven: what worked, what broke, what to fix
- A second wave of announcements for everyone who missed the first
Nobody remembers a launch that went smoothly. Everybody remembers the sign with the wrong number.
